Crewed Yacht Charters Greece

Ketch-rigged Lady Julie is a proper crewed charter yacht
accommodating eight guests in four comfortable cabins each with its own water closet and shower.
Created for the charter market by Robert H. Perry, this handsome yacht features warm teak and mahogany, soft lighting, and understated appointments to create a superbly attractive interior. The deck plan places two double cabins on the quarters, a crew cabin opposite the galley, and two twin-bunk cabins forward of midships, all air conditioned. The teak-paneled salon and galley are fore and aft amidships, the salon comfortably seating eight guests. This elegant sailing yacht is a descendant of nineteenth century Yankee clippers never surpassed in sailing speed, and has been built for luxurious comfort and easy handling.

Are you searching for crewed yacht charters cruising the eastern Mediterranean? For crewed yacht charters cruising Turkey and Greece? Do you plan on sailing the turquoise sea along Turkey's southwest coast? Or the azure sea surrounding Greek Aegean islands? How about sailing Turkey and Greece aboard a charter yacht with family accommodations. A charter yacht with a caring and catering crew. How about chartering a Scorpio 72 such as Lady Julie to cruise the coast of Turkey's Crewed Yacht Charter
Turkeyancient Lycia, home of so many of Homer's heroes at Troy and of pirates and corsairs ever since. Or to sail the route of Cleopatra VII Thea Philopater, last Ptolemaic pharaoh of Egypt, along the coast of neighboring Caria and among Greece's Scattered Islands. While you holiday. Wouldn't you like to holiday with family or friends cruising these storied waters! Wouldn't you like to holiday aboard a crewed charter yacht proceeding leisurely from mythological prehistory to the crossroads of recorded history! From pine encircled bay to clear-water cove. From the foot of Mount Olympus to Poseidon's Garage! Scorpio is a word derived from Greek, Scorpius, meaning scorpion or the constellation appearing as a scorpion, the Scorpius dispatched by Apollo to slay the Hunter Orion in order to defend the honor of Apollo's sister Artemis, but so situated in the eastern sky as to never quite catch Orion in the western sky. Just by the tail of Scorpius, it might be noted, there is a star cluster now called Ptolemy's Cluster first identified by Claudius Ptolemaeus Pelusiniensis in about 130 AD. That's him to the left. Philosopher as well as astronomer, Ptolemy wrote and mapped an atlas which he entitled Geography, the oldest extant copy of which was re-discovered in Istanbul's Topkapi Palace among a library amassed by Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Law Giver in the XVIth Century. A Latin translation published at Rome in 1477 served to guide Ferdinand Magellan and successor in their 1519-22 circumnavigation. An English language translation is available from The Book Depository. Its Book 5, Chapter 3, deals with the aforementioned Lycia. Claudius Ptolemaeus Pelusiniensis was an Egyptian of Macedonian lineage like most other Ptolemy's, and was in his time presumed to be descended from forebears of Cleopatra. Cleopatra cruised here in part because her forebears had ruled here. Among many other places along the Turkish Coast and among Greek islands, Cleopatra paused twice at ancient Lydae near Gocek. Why not begin your cruise in Gocek! Are you searching for Gocek in Turkey? Ancient Callimache? Well, Gocek is 42 nautical miles ENE of Rhodes Town and 15 road miles from its own international airport at Dalaman. There or elsewhere we can put you aboard a crewed sailing yacht for the holiday of a lifetime. We can put you aboard a crewed charter yacht and show you flat sailing waters of the Gulfs of Gocek and Fethiye leading to ancient Lydae, show you Claudius Ptolemy's mapping path from Lydae, which he called Chydae, down the coast of Lycia past temples of Apollo and Artemis to Aperlae, show you Cleopatra's Route up the coast of Asia Minor and among Scattered Islands including a beach at Cedrae she laid with Libyan sand. Lady Julie, a superb crewed yacht available for charter in Greece and Turkey. Contact Charter Yachts Turkey today at charter@gocekturkey.com
